My name is Erik Bosque Peña, a proud resident of Elgin for over three decades. My educational journey in Illinois started in the U-46 school district, where I also met my amazing wife during our high school years. We have two children: one is about to graduate and pursue an English major at Northern Illinois University, and the other has just begun his high school career.
In my professional life, I work as a Union Laborer with Local 2, specializing in trench-less technology with an emphasis on robotic inspections of sanitary and storm sewers that have taken me all across the country. I am also an entrepreneur, running my own business, Bosque Enterprises.
On the civic front, I am actively engaged in our community as the co-founder and current president of the nonprofit organization Friends of Masons. I am involved with Elgin's historic Elgin Lodge No. 117, where I've held leadership roles, and I participate in various volunteer efforts throughout our city.
Looking ahead, I am committed to preserving Elgin's strong union-friendly environment, especially in work conducted within the city, to ensure fair opportunities and benefits for all workers.
